Hummingbird Hawk Moth.

I'd never seen one of these before. Whilst I was trying to photograph it I had no idea what it was as its wings were flapping ten to the dozen and I couldn't discern them.

That, of course, is the clue to its identity and luckily the shutter speed was just about fast enough to freeze the action.
