Gently down the stream

Muddy legs

Herons are such birds of marsh and river (especially around here) that it's always slightly shocking to see them, muddy legged, marching over fallow fields on the hunt for mice and worms - but that is exactly what this one was doing this morning.

A nice walk, but quite a short one, with rather a lot happening at home.  Bram has been sent off to boarding school in Kent for three weeks, to learn better manners and a few boundaries - the results will be interesting - and to keep to the boundary theme, my neighbour is being a bit coy about who exactly will be paying what for the storm-damaged fence separating our two gardens!

Ah well, no point rushing towards trouble.

Have a happy evening, lovely blipfriends xx
