Natal Lily

Dear Mr K bought me this plant just for me to paint. It is a stunning colour and made a great subject. The flower is long gone now but I drew it while it was still fresh and painted the petals in my coloured pencils as a record of the colour. I also took plenty of photos.

I originally drew it only in pen (see Dots 'n Dashes | Hevkk | Blipfoto) but as my current assignment is working with pen and coloured pencil, it was a good opportunity to redraw it and add the colour. I was also trying out a new paper, which I really enjoyed using.
