Goodnight Mr Tom

I slept badly with the pain around my knee which locked when I tried to get out of bed but a message came to say there had been minimal deterioration in the arthritic knees which was a surprise, given the pain.

The sports physio said the tendon was very inflamed and he had me whimpering. Advice is to treat it with ice, leave it 10 minutes then put a hot water bottle on it. I’ll still see the NHS physio next week to see what s/he says.

Chris is working steadily in the bathroom. Today he was measuring and cutting the floor tiles.

We are filling in lengthy forms for our visa applications then found our PO had no registered post envelopes so Mr C did a 30 mile round trip to get one.

While the passports are away we might take off in the van. Does anyone know if we can get a ferry to Northern Ireland without needing a passport? Apparently it’s up to the ferry company what they accept?

I got on-line at noon to try for tickets for the Brian Cox play at Edinburgh Festival. I was 890 in the queue but got tickets. Last night #2 daughter was in London for work and saw Cox in another play. Her ticket was only £15!

There was a cold wind when I was out walking to the physio so we have the fire on. I’m going to make a recipe from Dinner and watch Protection.

This is a photo of Nathaniel in rehearsal for Goodnight Mr Tom where he plays William who is very nervous and scared when he is evacuated. He’s on on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, People’s Theatre, Newcastle.

You are so generous with the stars, hearts and comments for my 11 years of blipping. Thank you.
