Awkward

William came down to breakfast this morning dressed as a pumpkin. After telling him how wonderful he looked, I casually mentioned that Halloween wasn't for some time yet. This was the face he pulled!

Today has been rescheduled a number of times. Originally we were supposed to be meeting a friend at Sundown, that has been postponed so I decided to take them both to Whipsnade. The forecast was good, we set off in sunshine, drove into drizzle, through pouring rain and back into drizzle. When we arrived the car park was heaving, we put on coats and almost got to the queue. However the members queue was enormous and the heavens opened and the sky was black every way you looked, so I took an executive decision and returned us all to the car!

Once back home the kids had their picnic lunch at the table and the we headed for the soft play as they haven't been there fore ages. It was surprisingly quiet, they surprisingly played nicely and I got most of my pre-holiday lists done.

With only one accident (W now has a carpet burn on his forehead!) and one meltdown we headed home two and a half hours later. Now they are both bathed (they were very sweaty) and are eating tea while watching Cbeebies as a treat. four days and counting until our holidays.
