Jesmond flowering redcurrant
As is my Thursday routine, today I travelled to Newcastle and back by train to visit Mummy hazelh at her care home. Mummy hazelh has been rather unsettled and behaving out of character the past few days, so I ended up having quite a long conversation with the manager while I was there.
It was lovely that my not-so-little sister met me after my difficult visit. She walked part of my route back to the station with me so that we could have a good chat about our mother. Our middle sister hasn't seen our mother since January, so the not-so-little one and I have done our best to prepare her for her next visit, which is tomorrow.
I got absolutely soaked in a downpour of biblical proportions as I walked home from Waverley Station this evening.
In other news, I have tickets for two shows at the Edinburgh International Festival in August, and an invitation to Ascot in June. Hurrah!
I blipped the flowering redcurrant in a garden in Jesmond on my way to the care home.
Exercise today: walking (~22k steps).
