Abstract Thursday - "Abstract Theatre"
"The cherry tree resplendent in all its finery takes centre stage to welcome the arrival of spring."
I was rather stuck for my AT blip this week for Ingeborg's challenge, but as is often the case my Editor came to my rescue with this idea.
It was a lovely day, so after sorting out the flowers in the churchyard we went for our favourite walk in the Macclesfield area - over The Hollins (first extra) to Langley then back along the road and the canal towpath. By judicious timing on the walk back we arrived at The Church House pub at Sutton (2nd extra) in nice time for lunch...I can highly recommend the Steak and Ale Pie there and my Editor says the same about the Lasagne!
This left us time to drive back home to Newcastle - an uneventful journey apart from a brief hold-up on the A1 just north of Wetherby owing to an accident. (The accident was on the other carriageway so it wasnt' clear why we ground to a halt for about 10 minutes - ?maybe to help emergency services to get to the scene.)
