Another lovely Spring day with lots of sunshine Was planning to do a couple of small outside jobs but got waylaid by doing some complicated financial admin and then chatting to D about EIF arrangements. In the middle of this there was another short power cut.
Am looking forward to Edinburgh in August - I really missed it last year when I had to cancel due to the flea episode.
I caught the bus to town to meet some of the Mixed Media crowd at the Art gallery on Friar Lane - East Mids Contemporary Textiles had an exhibition on Decay. Several of the pieces used fabric which had left in a water bath for a few weeks with pieces of rusty metal. The one I photographed was my favourite . From there we went to Cafe Sobar for lunch- delicious homemade soup.
We did rock wrapping at this afternoon’s session. It was a self- led session- A and J had watched you tube for ideas and most of us took a contribution to the materials. No doubt I will blip the output sometime soon. Usual coffee and chocolate afterwards
