Kew Gardens

Despite the shower early this morning it then was sunny later so I went to Kew Gardens with a friend who has not been there for years. Lots of camelia, magnolias and some cherry blossom too. Also fritillaries like the one I blipped yesterday…see extra!

To go with the blossom season they have some speakers playing nice music especially composed by some students at the Royal College of Music , at about six different areas.

Intersting to see quite a few groups of foreign visitors there on guided tours…plus lots of school parties. However not very busy but I’m sure it will be at the weekend.

Not good in the Pagoda cafe…we ordered scones with jam and clotted cream…..the cream was solid and the ‘foreign’ staff did not understand that it is meant to be spread! Luckily the nice female manager…English…understood and refunded our bill plus gave us some butter! The scones were not good either and the coffee was very weak….not to be recommended which is a shame.
