A view from Jeanneb

Last morning!

There was a great sky this morning when I took this shot from our balcony at 7.40 am as we prepared to go down for breakfast. As usual we had Cava as well as orange juice, what a great way to start the day!
In the bottom left is a little stall outside a bar/cafe that we passed everyday. It’s advertising smoothie but it so sums up Soller with it’s oranges and lemons. In the bottom right of that  picture on a white card you can see a ‘Soller flip’. The juice and ice cream I had in Soller after our walk. It goes by various names but you can get them everywhere. In the gap above it you can see our hotel.

Needless to say we’ve had a wonderful holiday, thank you all so much for following it and being so generous with your stars and hearts. I think staying in Port de Soller has been the best of our 5 trips over 50 years, can’t think now why it has only been 5! Ither things have come along and there have been many more places to explore. We spent a lot if time camping across Europe when the children were young, France in particular. When they reached the ‘tween’ years they complained they’d never flown anywhere so we came to Mallorca. That was in the ‘90s. It’s certainly a favourite and I’d like to think we will be back.

Home now, no problems with the return. Private transfer arrived on time, flight left on time and apart from a freezing cold wind to greet us at Leeds Bradford airport all is well.
Called at M&S as we were passing for some bread and milk and, after seeing Paula J’s, got a Chinese takeaway for tonight, sadly no yellow sticker!
A card had arrived from our sister in law for our anniversary whilst we’ve been away so I put it up with the ones we took with us. Amazingly she enclosed a copy of her wedding invitation! Got quite a jolt seeing my min and dads name at tge top. Also I’d forgotten my friend had brought us some fizz before we left so we can have that with our Chinese. Let the celebrations continue! I see the map is back, I will add to my blips over the last week if anyone is interested in where the places are.
