A view from Jeanneb

15 years!

What a day to have a big blip anniversary! First day back from holiday is always a struggle for a blip especially after a week full of great blip opportunities.
A bit warmer today and some sun this morning when I put out the first lot of washing. Enough breeze left to get them dry I hope and to celebrate I broke out my new peg basket and pegs I’ve  been keeping over winter.

So out came the macro lens and a good look around garden developments! Lots of open buds on the Magnolia but very high up, the Fritillaries and Pasque flowers are well on their way but not fully out. The new Camelia gas a flower open but a little brown round the edges shows we’ve had a bit of frost whilst we’ve been away. There’s some lovely bright red at the back of the garden from the Japanese quince (Chaenomeles) but really the best at the moment are all the Daffodils. All sizes and variations of colour, only the Avalon Narcissus are still in bud.
Love the orange trumpet in these emerging through the Forsythia in the front garden whilst it was still in the sun this morning.
So here it is my simple daffodil for my 5,472nd blip making up 15 years of blipping!
Unbelievable and I wouldn't be without it! So many great friends here some I’ve had the joy to actually meet but so many more who I never will but that doesn’t make any one if them less special.
Thanks to those who started this site and then those who saved it and still keep it going. Great work. Also thanks to Wendles 56 who accidentally introduced my to it back in 2010 when I just thought I’d give it a go taking a picture of our then cat Tosca basking in the Easter Sunday sun! I’ve never missed a day since.
There were a few back blips in the early days when we didn’t have Wi-Fi in Scotland when staying at the wee hoose and had to find cafes where I hiked my huge lap top (didn't have an iPad then let alone a smart phone!)

Thanks to all who follow my journal I really enjoy following yours, long may it continue.
