Gossip Corner

As rain was forecast, I delayed my trip to Pensthorpe this morning, which worked well as it rained on the journey over. I thought I'd check to see if the flamingos were doing their various dances during the mating season, but all was quiet and most were out of view. I did get a few photos though, including this one which to me looked like they were gossiping. Otherwise it was quite quiet at Pensthorpe. Yesterday evening I had a look on the tv at my camera bird box and a blue tit was staying overnight and is back this evening having bought in a couple of bits of moss. Fingers crossed that she builds a nest. This morning I'd got a photo of another blue tit collecting moss from the lawn for what might be a nest in the hedge the other side of my fence (see Extra). This afternoon I tackled a very large pile of ironing whilst beginning to watch The Handmaid's Tale again from the start. I can't help being struck by feeling the start was far fetched when I watched it originally, now it seems almost possible given all that's going on in the US.
