The accidental finding

The round table

Steve and I finished the World of King Arthur jigsaw! It was excellent, wish there were more like that. This is just part of the whole puzzle.

Decided against going to the patchwork class, I’ve missed two sessions and there are only two more to go. I wanted the free time.

After hanging out the washing in the sun, I headed off to the Trinity Rooms for lunch. It was busy, as usual, and they have folk singers there too now (why?) Afterwards I met friend K for a walk, but she didn’t have her dog and didn’t want a long walk so we walked in woodlands near Stroud. Then she dropped me at Waitrose (yoghurt!) and I walked along the canal where I stopped eventually at a charity shop (books!) and came up the hill fully loaded.

As soon as I got home, a travel agent rang. Did I mention I’d booked a holiday for next year already? Well, Virgin has pulled out of the route, so it means going by BA from Gatwick instead of Heathrow, and my sister having to fly down from Glasgow via EasyJet and then back to Edinburgh ! However, they’ve booked us a night at a Gatwick hotel , and none of this is happening any time soon, so….

The rest of the evening was spent trying to fill in a ‘delay repay’ form from Cross Country trains. Steve was badly delayed on his way back last week. I have another form too, but that’s a paper one from Scotrail.

I’ve started another jigsaw called See Through Nature. It’s very bright! Ordered another one too, and made some plans for Sunday too: nature reserve with Steve, and the repair cafe later. Need to keep occupied, it’s Mother’s Day in the UK.
