Mayfly
Friday morning I was out in the back garden moving a pergola frame around (pending some garden landscaping)
As I moved a 3x3 post I noticed this mayfly clinging to the post seemingly trying to stay out of the biting cold wind.
When I rotated the post so she* was on top she ran back down over the side.. I grabbed my camera and new TTArtisan 100mm 2x Macro.
I managed 5 shots , she didn't stay still very long and got fed up with me rotating the post and so flew off.. I can't blame her, if you are only alive for a day or two you need to make the most of it.
The lens is fully manual, it's quite difficult to get focus so close in and I need to get familiar with the aperture/depth of field, (I think this was f/11) hopefully I can get things sharper with practice but for a cheap lens I'm quite pleased.
