Norangsfjorden
Another wet day in Norway. Pouring with rain this morning, but forecast was to brighten up in the afternoon. Took the ferry from Saebø across Hørundfjorden to Lekneset again and drove towards Stranda. Waited for the rain to abate in a coffee shop in Stranda and set of at noon to do a hill called Kvitegga (1489m). Carried the skis 350m up a really good path which was part of the old postal route from Bergen to Trondheim. Put skis on at 650m and skinned up to 1450m, just before the summit, where there were cornices on one side and a steepening drop on the other. Good ski down in nice snow.
Today's blip is on the return ferry to Saebø in the evening, looking back up Norangsfjorden, with Stålberghornet on the right. Our drive to Stranda took us up Norangsdalen at the head of the fjord, a most impressive place, like Glem Coe on steroids.
