Solace Day 3 - Gailey Top-Lock

This was the highlight of Sunday's travelling, the round toll-keeper's tower.

It was the most awkward of the locks I navigated. I had to hold the boat on the stobbs beyond the orange taped section, then go under the road bridge at the correct angle when The Man had emptied the lock for me. After the road bridge I had to immediately alter the angle of the 57' lump of iron we call Solace to get it into the lock.

We were lucky to catch sight of a kingfisher today.
