Flowers

One of Aimee's good friends E came for lunch today with her partner J.  It was lovely to see them and we chatted and laughed and talked about Aimee.  They first met at Uni and bonded over their red filofax - (they both had one the same) and have been good friends ever since.  

I wasn't sure what the weather was doing as the forecast was good but it was chilly and cloudy first thing so I made some soup?  However the sun came out and we managed to sit in the garden for a bit.  

They bought a beautiful bouquet of flowers from all the uni girls with a note that said 'Aimee would have bought you some flowers for Mother's Day and we know this weekend must be particularly painful for you.  We wanted to acknowledge that but also know that Aimee's love is lasting and beautiful and still here and flows through us to you'.

Happy and sad and lots of mixed emotions but still we must move forward - onwards and upwards.  Missing her like crazy this weekend
