A Polished Performer
We've had an interesting time at the British Motor Museum today. It was a Boundless event, quite busy with I would estimate at least 90% of the visitors wearing Boundless lanyards.
The main blip is a 2002 polished aluminium Jaguar XJ8, in the reserve collection.
In the extras a 1954 MG EX179, built for Captain George Eyston, which broke several world land speed records in the 1950s. And a very cool Ford Capri interior. Not something you see these days :-)
If you ever go I can recommend the chips in the café, the best I have had for ages.
Before we left mrsfb bought me a very small (scale 1:76) die cast Hillman Imp. I've been looking for one for ages. The guy at the till asked If we had ever had one. I said yes, it was my first car. He said his mum had one, but it kept breaking down. What a coincidence, so did mine, a couple of times overheating on the M5.
It will be a blip one day.
In other news a good win for Pompey today, keeping their Championship survival hopes alive.
