Sally Mair - Loving life

By Sallymair

Baaaaad weather!

In spite of appearances I got extremely wet crossing the road to take this picture. There's an awful lot of lambs there for 3 sheep, I count 10.
For most of the day, from around 12.30pm onwards, it's been raining, very wet rain and at times almost sleety. We checked out the weather in all compass points for about 50 miles but there was no escaping it, apart from a brief spell around 2.30.
We tossed a coin and headed west having lunch in Bo'ness in a very nice little place called the Wee Wine Bar. I've been before and have never been disappointed with the food. It's nice too, to get a plateful of food which is not too big for me to finish. Everything is freshly prepared and staff are friendly too.
We popped into the butchers while there to pick up a couple of steak pies for the girls, those can be their presents from one mother to another tomorrow. A gift to me too as it saves me cooking for them and to them as it saves them cooking for themselves to - and the pies will be delicious.
I got some help today via out local facebook group, to remove the rogue screw from our church radio mic. The new antenna is now in place along with a new mic and it's all back together with no bits left over! Always a good sign I think . Hopefully it is as good as new. I'll try it out tomorrow when in church. If it works I will have saved us around £100 by getting the bits and repairing it rather than buying a second hand replacement for around £140. The weather is due to improve, they clocks go forward tonight , whoever thought of having Mothering Sunday the day the clocks go forward, so we lose an hour's sleep, was mean.
