Patterns
Today has been a little girls day!
I went over to their house to keep an eye on them for a couple of hours at 11 o'clock. We played for a while then they had lunch and went for a nap. Their dad got back when I'd been there a couple of hours.
I popped into Tesco to do a quick shop then headed home. I decided to come via the Rectory to drop off the laminate flooring pack I bought yesterday. I was curious to see what had been delivered too! (Extra).
The dining room there is completely full of units and appliances, I must confess I'm rather excited to see what it looks like. My co-planners decided to get cupboards with grey insides which is interesting, I thought it might make them rather dark although it's the current style apparently.
I was home for about an hour before the little girls were due to arrive here. I quickly made them a sausage casserole for dinner and some chicken casserole for Colin and I.
The girls' mum and dad are going to a wedding reception this evening, so they are here for their tea then overnight. Ali will come and sleep here after the reception so she is here for them tomorrow morning. The girls went to bed beautifully, they hadn't bothered in the slightest when their mum headed off. It's lovely that they are so at home here.
Colin got home before they went to bed which was good. He read stories to Josie while I got Bonnie ready.
Colin drove down from Banchory this afternoon, the sale of his mum's flat has gone through. Hooray. It's a tricky time though with Mothering Sunday this weekend. I think his sister may find it hard.
We watched an old Cormoran Strike series this evening. We'd never got around to watching the last episode for some reason. We've the most recent series still to watch.
My blip is my jar of stones is in the bathroom. I've realised that every time Josie goes to the loo she plays with them, this is the pattern she made today. She's never said anything about it, but clearly enjoys them. Many are Iona marble along with some tiny green St Columba's tears, from Iona.
