Delft Tulip Vase

It's a little early for delicacies like stone fruit or asparagus at the farmers' market, but there are lots of flowers. Connie bought a bouquet and so did I ,and John bought this little bouquet of tulips. I love the way they look in front of the onyx lamp which is always lit.

Connie and I continued our catch up as we went down to the yarn shop to look for the appropriate yarn for Connie to make a throw for her daughter and son-in-law in Holland. It gives her a project as well as a gift for them when they visit next. She said what many of us have discovered, that international postage is prohibitively expensive, and her former fall back solution, Amazon gift certificates is no longer an option as many of us are trying to restrict our purchases from Amazon. She bought some beautiful yarn. I had to restrain myself as I still haven't finished the four year sweater, but it is close....

We had lunch at an unusually quiet and sort of charmingly funky Chevy's Mexican restaurant. I haven't been there since Will was a baby but we enjoyed a very fresh tostada salad, foregoing the excellent margaritas as Connie had to drive home.

Both the yarn shop and Chevy's, not to mention the farmers' market, had some nice photo ops but we were too busy talking and I never took my camera out of my bag.

At least I remembered to write this entry....

The judges are beginning to halt some of the Terrible Twosome's most egregious moves, but it is hard to tell whether they will pay any attention.
Everything will probably end up before the Supreme Court and it will be interesting to see what they do....
