Late nesters

After many years swallows have built a nest on our house. Some people don't like this as 'they make a mess' and put up CDs and carrier bags to deter them. Some folk are so sad. I'm so pleased.

Our widow cleaner told me he's sometimes asked to get rid of the nest. He refuses, what a good bloke. Some folk are so sad.

These two swallows have just built the nest, which is very late in the season. There seems to be young as they both spent the morning alternating sitting and flying to get food. Here they are at the point of change-over. I hope they succeed and the brood have enough time to fatten up before leaving for Africa in mid September.
