View from mom's house

My sister and her husband invited us to come to Mom's house for pizza tonight as they are leaving Monday morning. It had been stormy, but when there was a break I went outside to test my camera some more, as one does with a new camera. This is the view looking at the bayou that meets with the Manatee River on the NW side of Bradenton. 

Of course it is a little odd to be there and not have mom there. This is something we will get used to, because we know that mom could not live there on her own anymore, she would not accept home care. Mom is adjusting to memory care and may be able to go to Assisted Living in the same Residence. Kathy has taken her to some activities in Assisted Living which mom enjoyed! Steve and I will take her tomorrow... One step at a time.
