Gloom

The scenery really is quite incredible here - even in the gloom and grey!

The rain from yesterday afternoon continued overnight and early morning making things very grey and gloomy … but by the time we headed out for breakfast it was beginning to clear up! I couldn't resist having the same breakfast as last year and it was just as good!

And then it was walked off with a stomp on the east side of Rosedale Valley along the disused railway line - one we did last year but this time we made some adaptions for more mud and even more dodgy knees! 

A quick stop at Dale Head Farm for some refreshments (though not lunch like last year as was still full from brekkie!) and then had to contend with a traffic jam of a flock of sheep moving fields as we made our way back into Rosedale!

Another return to somewhere from last year where I just had to buy another vase ...

And the final return trip of the day with a cheeky wee something on the way home - not as sunny as last year but great for a bit of people watching - well actually bikes and goodness knows how many Mazdas out on a day trip!
