Green Eyed Dogs

Dear O'H dear, Lovely Tea Jenny and The Youngest Mini Princess,

The Eldest Mini Princess came home yesterday for the weekend. I had already arranged to catch up with Richie and Marina last night and when I came home, she reported that Murphy was well and truly in the huff. Not only had I gone out, EMP made the mistake of giving Bonnie a bit of attention too and THIS WAS NOT ACCEPTABLE!

He took himself off to his bed while EMP and The Prince ate dinner, but not to sleep. He just stared at them, raging! Normally he loves a cuddle on the sofa but they had to coax him through to the living room later when they were watching a film.

So this morning, Murphy decided to stake his claim. After breakfast, they both like to jump up on either side of me and have a cuddle, but this morning Murphy jumped up with lightening speed (impressive for a dog with arthritis) and then lay right over me so there was absolutely no room for Bonnie! He then stared right at her with a look that very clearly conveyed that she should GTF. She retaliated by standing right in front of him and snapping.

Doggy drama at 6 am on a Saturday. I can’t even tell them that they’ll have to play in separate rooms and think about whether that kind of behaviour is kind (remember that MP’s?)!
