“I smell something interesting”

Well, I think that is what Bertie was thinking because that’s what his body language was saying on our walk this afternoon.
With the change of the clocks to British Summer Time the sunshine returned today which made the journey to and from Salen very enjoyable. This was helped along by all the chat with four friends who were accompanying me to the joint service in Salen church involving all six Mull and Iona churches. It was good to meet up with folk from different corners of the island.
The afternoon was very sunny and I got rather hot while I was gardening so I took Bertie for a walk in the shade of the woods before starting to cook our roast beef dinner. The beef was island reared and it was very tasty when we enjoyed it with Yorkshire pudding, roasties and a selection of vegetables a couple of hours later..
