I asked the dogs first thing this morning if they would like to go to the beach...minutes later, their collars were on and they were in the back seat of the car, ready to leave :-)

It was a beautiful morning. We headed to Carsethorn and walked up towards Southerness, never meeting a single other person. The tide was a long way out when we started but it was rising, and I'm always careful as the Solway fills up very fast. The tides are at their highest today as well (9.3m) and I could see that previous high tides had brought in a lot of seaweed (see extra).

We were home by mid-morning and I spent a leisurely Sunday enjoying the sunshine in the garden, planting more seeds, lugging more logs, speaking to my "children"..and suddenly it's evening and we are about to watch the second half of "Arch of Triumph". I love these old films.
