by the sea

Sarah and Chris were keen to take Merry to a beach as she had never been to the seaside before. Of course she loved it, as did Otter (his natural habitat) and Jess (her favourite place).

WE were talking the other day about how Merry has never yet experienced a summer. It made me think about the difference between people born in the spring or summer (like me and Sarah) and those born in the winter (like Luke). Luke spent his first few months in a house without central heating and now he is quite happy in a cold environment. I was born in July and love to be warm. Who knows?

Luke and Maria are cooking tea tonight, and it will be Chris and Sarah's turn tomorrow.. I'm looking forward to tasting what they make. We are all quite hungry after all that sea air!
