Watching Paint ..

..Dry... and morph into some pretty neat paintings! 

And no, I did not whip over the pond to spend some time in Liverpool, (which has, on occasion, crossed my mind) ...but traveled there in armchair fashion.

Totally by accident tonight, while searching for a program on Prime/Britbox for my evening entertainment, I came across this series called Landscape Artist of the Year in which artists compete for the title...

Well..did someone read my mind or what? My mind has been on Plein Air painting and sketching these days and here before my very eyes was  a chance to watch others do it and do it well..and maybe even feel inspired to get out my own paints. 

 Mind you, they were using acrylics and oils, not watercolour which presents its own set of issues when done in the great outdoors..and some were even using other media ..printmaking, fibre arts etc. How neat is that? There are options other than watercolour! 

I watched two episodes and will watch again tomorrow night. Imagine.. a series that could hold my interest without a single murder in it!  Bonus!
