I found out through social media today that long time blipper DHThomas had passed away. He had been struggling with several ailments over the past couple of years…

We’ve known each other through Blipfoto for a little over 13 years though we never met in person. But this platform is such that we could feel like we were friends in spite of not having met. I enjoyed Tom’s special view of the world through his camera lens: one that prioritized reflection, feeling, and emotion.

He was interested in my exploration of ai as an imaging tool so I hope he would be ok with my rendition of his portrait using that medium. This is the first time I have posted the identical picture and text in both my accounts.

Tom, I will miss you and I hope you rest in peace.
