Abel Tasman - walk and swim

We drove from our house mover the headland to Mārahau which is the start (or finish) of the Abel Tasman park which runs up the coast.
Marahau was a pleasant contrast to Keiteriteri - much quieter and less developed, even though it is a hub of outdoor activity providers for the park.
We popped into one of the kayak outfitters and booked ourselves a 3 day trip sea kayaking and camping. Eek.
We then headed out along the Abel Tasman walking track, up the coast, pausing to catch views out to the islands and bays. We stopped at Apple Tree Bay - a beautiful long sand beach with gentle blue sea. So a swim was a must - both of us. MrKT often claims the water is too cold for him to swim so when he does go in it’s a big deal!!
We headed back along the track and back to our house to prepare our food and kit for the kayak trip.
