Rennie Macintosh
I requested a quiet day, but no, tooooo much walking again.
To start off the day a visit to the printers for a CP project, poor chap had problems with the printer, we will call in again tomorrow.
And off to The House for Art Lovers, a Rennie Macintosh drawing/plan of a house not built until 1989. Our plan was to take a bus to this place, although it wasn’t due for a while, let’s walk on, and we did, and on until the R Mc house was there in view. I had right on my side and food was needed, and drink, albeit water and hours later I was ready for the tour. It didn’t take long, the architects of that time, late 80’s, interpretation looked thoughtful. I know the style is not to everyone’s taste, it was interesting the architect, all those years later, tried to follow R Mc thinking. We walked back to our temporary home, a young talkative chap joined us along the way, I think he may have had a drink or two, highly amusing and very friendly all the same. He covered a multitude of subjects in twenty minutes of chat, nothing in agreement with our views, and when leaving shook hands with John. Not me.
I caught up on the phone with a CP colleague and afterwards J and I set off to the wine bar, it and the other such places in the area are closed on a Monday. Hmnn.
