Pretty in Pink
Tulipa pulchella, a dwarf species tulip bursting into flower in the warm spring sunshine. These little tulips are very good garden plants given sunshine and a free draining soil. These are in a raised filled with a very sandy soil mixture and have doubled in number since last year.
A quiet but reasonably busy day although I made sure to sit and take a break occasionally. Various useful jobs done through the day which also included two sunny walks with Meg. This evening I spent a couple of hours at the pottery with one of the others sorting through all the stoneware dipping glazes, many of which have been neglected for years. Most were salvageable although assorted whizzers were needed to blend the dried up ones once water had been added.
Off on my travels tomorrow for a few days. Just need to pack!
