Tulipa sylvestris
A ray of sunshine! Not that we are going to be short of them if the forecast is even half correct. Despite our mostly cold spring, it's flowering earlier this year. I blipped it on 16th April last year.
I started the day at Jamie's where we had a mid-morning pancake brunch and chatted about his plans for the future. Having felt fine when I arrived, I was hit by a headache and sore throat so left him after a while to go home and rest. Hopefully it's just my body's early warning system again and a couple of quiet days will fix me.
So, an afternoon sitting in a comfy chair, working on my talk for this week. I'm in Derby on Wednesday evening, they've asked for Crocus and Colchicum which is a variation which combines bits of two other talks. All sorted now. Late afternoon I took Meg for a walk in the woods at Ynysymaengwyn, just outside Tywyn. Impossible not to notice a very distinctive noise in the trees and looking up I spotted the little chap in the extra pic at work. Sadly I didn't quite manage to click the shutter to catch the vital moment of impact!
