Another card ......

.... from Mother's Day in the past.

Today was Monday and we were meeting up with F.  We first met F when her children were at the same school and have been friends since, even though our trajectories have been so different.  Trip out with this group of friends is always a bit complicated with lifts to the station, train times and faffing.  I did suggest I would drive as we were only going to Tun Wells but was persuaded that if I drove that glass of Sauvignon would be tap water!! OH dropped us off at the station and we chatted and chatted and got on the wrong train??!!   FFS - but no matter, still made it to lunch on time.  Food was okay ish - not the usual standard but chat made up for it.  After lunch we wandered to Hotel du Vin and had another bottle sitting in the sun in their garden - wonderful especially as it is still March.  Waiter was rather easy on the eye too.

OH picked us up at the station and then drove round the houses dropping everyone off.  Nice day - although I missed not being able to ring Aimee for a postmortem on the day/food/chat.

(I gave F a postcard and she was touched and loved the idea of me taking Aimee with me on our travels).
