Birthday Boy

It was OH's birthday today.  He played golf with the old boys and then a quick visit to the care home to meet the chefs.   We had written a letter to the home as the standard of food was not great and there were a number of other issues.  They had not handled it particularly well and he was asked to attend a meeting with the care manager whereupon he was presented with all the care staff sitting in a half circle to whom he had to address the concerns!  Not particularly professional - however I digress.  Meeting with the chefs went ok and it appears MIL has gained 12 kilos in 18 months so the food can't be all bad?!  Trying not to type what I am thinking!!!

I fiddled in the morning and did some more research on hotels and then popped to Waitrose for some birthday goodies.

OH home for lunch (poached eggs in the air fryer).  I had booked a restaurant for early dinner and the food was tasty but I was driving so no glass of wine.  Home in time to stream the game and watch his team win.   Not bad being 68 ........!!
