Orchard swallowtail butterfly

We've had several consecutive days of volatile weather including heavy showers and high winds, with a few stingey rays of sunshine. Today the sun quotient went up considerably so a good day for crutching around the garden. Thrilled to bits not only to see this gorgeous butterfly but to have it land and be still, even if not in the most convenient spot. It's in perfect shape so it might be newly hatched. And look! Remnant raindrops on the leaves, so even a bit of wetness.
