Arizona Dreamin’

Blam, Blam, Wild West

Mom, my nephew Michael (who is visiting from Buffalo) and I drove south to Tombstone, Arizona today to visit this old western town. It's dependent upon tourism now but it has an exceptionally rich, wild west history. You can read about it here.

I went into a Shooting Gallery and used a real western six-shooter and nailed this target with paint bullets. I had never held a real gun before let alone shoot one. It was so heavy I had to use two hands to hold it up and two fingers to pull back the hammer. I had SO MUCH FUN!!! (The hits are mine. Not all the misses are, though!)

Tombstone is most famous for the gunfight at the OK Corral with Deputy U.S. Marshal Sheriff Virgil Earp and temporary deputies and brothers, Morgan and Wyatt Earp. The three bank robbers that were involved in the shooting were all killed and are buried in the Boot Hill Cemetery.

(Michael gave me the title.)
