Catkin Feast
I took a walk through Shepherd Meadows in the glorious, though slightly chilly, sunshine before doing the "big shop". The trees are greening up nicely in the sun and this pussy willow full of fluffy catkins was looking particularly good.
A peacock butterfly was enjoying the early nectar feast. I've already seen more butterflies this year than last, which was apparently one of the poorest seasons on record. Hopefully the population will pick up this year.
The bees were also busy, and this just had to be my shot of the day.
