Les couvreurs ont fini…

….unfortunately, it’ll be another few weeks before the box and wire gubbins will be connected-up to harvest all of this luverly weather into free electricity. Until then I must sit and hope we’re not having our summer now.

Elsewhere , I went to Melrose to get my three-weekly hair cut and beard trim. The impeccably reliable owner handed me to his young apprentice, who promptly ignored my instructions and scalped my head and chin. Most annoying and I expressed my displeasure in a deep frown as only a grumpy old bastard can. 

Back at the ranch, I did some routine paperwork and then sat out in the afternoon sun. I may have snored too, but Nancy is at work in Edinburgh so only the garden birds were around to witness it. 

Phase 3: the new oil burner, the oil tank moved outside and underfloor heating, begins on 5th May.
