Say it with perennial kale
I left Mum eating breakfast, laundry doing it's thing, I walked Indie. On our return we did some gardening, potting on 2 clematis that have outgrown their pots into the new containers we bought at Trago's yesterday. A golden leafed euonymus & pot of aubretia added, leaving space for a couple of other plants later.
Next, make lunch. Liver, bacon, & onions, root mash & sprouts today. Enough liver to make 3 meals, so 2 portions in the freezer.
Home to Mr Happy. I ate my avocado with a drizzle of olive oil & black pepper, plus toasted seeded flatbread outside in the sunshine.
J does'nt want to for a walk, does'nt want lunch....
I went up to the allotment where I spent a couple of hours weeding & pruning. Rhubarb looking good, but I did'nt pick any today. I lifted the blackcurrant cuttings that had taken. I replaced them with some Autumn Bliss raspberry prunings. Fingers crossed they will strike. I messaged Liz offering her the blackcurrant cuttings... She messaged me a thumbs up. The lavender prunings I chopped up & scattered on the paths. I lifted docks, & dandelions. Grh! I picked perennial kale 'Taunton Deane'. It's come on a treat, & very tasty. I'd promised Alison a bundle, so picked that. She can have that tomorrow.
Drove up to town to do j's syndicate Lottery. Home, cider & 6 o'clock news. A report from inside Myanmar showing the extent of the damage following the earthquake that struck last Friday. Very sad.
Made sweet n sour chicken for dinner.
