In the dark
Thanks for the kindness you showed towards my self portrait yesterday. I'm very grateful for you all.
I went to the Bunco game yesterday evening. I had a blast. It's a fast-paced three-dice game which had me laughing for hours. It was nice to be out where I didn't have to keep notes for a change.
This hummingbird was hidden among the branches. There was a tiny bit of color showing originally but instead of trying to lighten it, I thought it would work better as a silhouette.
I dropped off four card tables for the community garage sale next week. I'll be getting up much earlier than I usually do next Friday to help with it. Hopefully, it will be a little warmer and a lot less windy.
I'm doing a little laundry while I finish up some paperwork for both the church group and the HOA. I found out this morning at breakfast that the president of the church group is moving back to Kansas next month, leaving us without a leader. I hope someone steps up. I refuse to be the president (like she asked) and be the secretary at the same time. I just can't do it. I have trouble saying 'no' sometimes but this has to be in stone. Or so I say now...

The doorbell rang and the lady of the house discovered a workman, complete with tool chest, on the front door.
“Lady,” he announced, “I’m the piano tuner.”
The lady exclaimed, “Why, I didn’t send for a piano tuner.”
The man replied, “I know, but your neighbors did.”
