An eye opener in the capital

Yet another glorious day dawned, we strolled casually around the countryside with bird life abounding. Wild flowers are thriving in the warm sunshine, the Spring barley looks lush and the carpets of primroses are almost unbelievable in their abundance this year.
An appointment with a consultant neurosurgeon in Harley Street required me to travel to “The Capital City” to assess how much damage was done after being hit by the car driven by an 80 year old man just over 12 months ago, the likelihood of further issues in the future and how the NHS managed my injuries plus the lack of any follow up by them.
What highly experienced doctors know when they are passionate about their profession and their patients is quite astonishing. I came away with a completely new outlook on what has happened to me and how I perceived my life going forward.
Sherlock Holmes was helpful in my orientation around the city.
Nearly four hours of walking around the central London opened my eyes to a crazy world where 90% of the people there:
Rush around talking into their phones, generally not looking where they are going.
Wear black or grey clothing.
Have forgotten to smile or acknowledge each other.
Eat takeout food and eat it walking around.
Ignore those who are much worse off than themselves (for what ever reason.)
Don’t engage in any kind of conversation (except with their phones)
And……
I was fortunate to have good company on the return train journey and for Dippy’s Godfather for looking after him in the company of Bella and Reggie his mum and dad.
Zzzzzzz
