Cherry Blossom
With 23°C in the shade and a cloudless sky, today felt like summer. We can almost watch the blossom pop open on the neighbour‘s ornamental cherry tree.
The Spring flowers like primroses and daffodils are wilting fast in all that sunshine and dryness. There’s no humidity left in the topsoil. This March was the driest on record in our state, and there’s a red wildfire warning in the Rhine-Main area now - very unusual for this season.
I worked in the garden, tidying up and cleaning the little courtyard behind the house, and the outside steps to the basement, as well as the carport and its gutter. My blip for today could have been one of the three or four giant spiders I found hiding in corners - but cherry blossom looks so much nicer.
