Bracebridge Pool. Sutton Park.

We went for a short walk down to the Pool from the car park, to sit on a bench in the sunshine for ages. The peace and tranquility were wonderful.
A takeaway coffee each to hand.
19C in warm sunshine and less of that chilly wind.
It was fun watching the drakes as they fended off rivals for their chosen duck.
At one point the poor female was besieged, and I was willing her to dive! Seconds later she did!
The Canada geese were fairly tranquil but a small Coot took exception to three of them and bravely went on the attack!
The geese retreated!
As we were sitting there a familiar figure with his lovely dog Bonnie, stopped to say hello.
Good to see him.
It was Donald the Minister of Sutton Coldfield Baptist Church, so I took his photo with permission, saying it would feature on my blip today.
He has to have the harness “Friendly but Nervous” if people get a bit too friendly with the dog and freak her out.
We had a long catch up which was good.
As we had missed several important milestones in the church history recently which we could not attend due to my hip operation. And two funerals of well known people.
We ourselves were members of the church for 33 years. Both our sons were married there being members themselves.
We began to attend Birmingham Vineyard Church to support a young friend of ours who had just become the Youth Pastor there, and stayed on.
We drive home after 90 minutes just enjoying the sunshine and view.
