Every photo tells a story

In plain sight

Having been told by Mrs HCB I had used up my one grumpy day for the week, I needed a more lighthearted blip today.

Occasionally (by that I mean quite often) I struggle to find things I am looking for even when I am staring straight them. Today was no exception.

I was convinced I had some sugar in the cupboard but when I opened the cupboard all I could see was a small bag of plain flour. Feeling perplexed I began searching through all the other cupboards in the kitchen. The sugar was nowhere to be found.

How could this be? I knew I had some sugar. In desperation I went back to the cupboard I had first looked in, assuming that maybe the sugar had got pushed towards the back of the shelf.

Imagine my surprise when the sugar appeared out of nowhere, and right next to the bag of flour I had spotted some time earlier. Fortunately, rather than being grumpy, I was able to laugh at myself and the ridiculousness of my own ability to find something so obviously right in front of me.

If only I could remember what I wanted the sugar for!
