Toast toasted twice

I thought I was just getting the train to Wigan for a catch up with my boss over some fruit toast and a brew in Starbucks.

Whilst I did end up with all of the above (pictured - top tip: ask them to toast it twice for you (pictured), it’s a game changer) I also came back with a promotion, new job title, decent pay review, two chaps reporting in to me effective from 1st June and a hugely inflated sense of imposter syndrome!!

My head was swimming somewhat on the journey back as there was a load of news that had been imparted to me, not all as positive, but hey, what is life without balance?

The evening was a mad dash about between football sessions, but m’boy and I both got on well - he’s going to be signed for next season and I didn’t go into cardiac arrest.

Starbucks fruit toast toasted twice, you’ll wonder how you ever had it any other way!
