It's always lovely to be able to dry washing out of doors - and the combination of sunshine and easterly breeze did a good job. The dogs helped, of course - Jess kept me company and Merry kept bringing me her ball to throw.

I've had a nice day "resting" at home after yesterday's journey to Durham; I was weary when I got home at about 8.30pm - It's amazing how tired you can get just sitting on trains.

Also I have started knitting the new hat for Shetland Wool week - the pattern has just been released. Fortunately I had all the right colours already in my stash, so I have almost finished the ribbing. It's a really nice bright pattern, called the "Aal Ower Toorie"
