Bin Find No.3,489
I rang the surgery this morning, and got an appointment. I really needed to do something about this endless taking of ineffective (on me) pills. I'm glad they're not making me dizzy, or sick, but they're not helping where they're supposed to help, so I want to stop them. The doctor at the Pain Clinic had practically promised me that the pills would help... But then, she also promised she'd be monitoring and following up in a few weeks (more than two months ago). Conclusion was that I should ring the clinic, and the doctor would too.
So that got me up and out early, though of course I had time to do my chair yoga.
In fact, while I was in the shower, Archie went bonkers, barking, at the door. Must have been the postman. But no, it was a huge bunch of tulips! And I knew right away who put them there. Anne, who was flying out about midday, had evidently come round this way for a jog (and she must have jogged via Waitrose). They are so splendid, they will be due a blip soon.
Just as well I'd been out in the morning before I started finalising our Last Big Trip to Australia again, and then I decided to pay in full. And that particular exercise took me HOURS. Yes!! I had to ring the bank several times, and each time there was a VERY long wait, with muzak (actually the same as the surgery inoffensive muzak). I kept not being able to pay. Three failed attempts and they had to send another link... Eventually, one chap realised that I had something turned OFF in my settings! I finished that transaction at 4.30pm.
JR and Archie had been out all afternoon on a long walk. But I needed to go out too after the marathon stressful online session. I thought Archie would be too tired to go out again, so I was sneaking around being very quiet. But he heard me, and at the last minute jumped out of his bed, ready for another walk. What a boy!
