We get around…

Last night I didn’t really unpack - just moved a few essentials from my case to a much lighter soft bag in order to get away relatively quickly today. And so it was, O Best Beloved, that we were on the road again just after 11am and a strong coffee, on our way to visit friends in Oban and stay the night because it’s a tad far for a post-dinner drive.

Despite a couple of camper vans along the way we managed to shave six minutes off Waze’s predicted arrival time and arrived at a splendid time for lunch - followed by the most glorious walk which partly followed the old railway line that went to Ft, William back in the day. There was one downer when, having climbed up a horribly steep track and in hope of having tea and buns or whatever, we eventually got  to the promised cafe and were told firmly that it was shut …

Our hosts are great cooks, great hosts. We’ve talked nonstop, but now we’re dispersing and I keep falling asleep and typing nonsense. …

Photo from the path showing the sun on Castle Stalker at low tide. And I saw the aurora before I sat down to write this entry.

Sleep, rock my brain…
